ABOUT Owner, Meg Majors has a special admiration for children who have special needs and wants their families to have a professional portrait of their child to share and be proud of. Having worked with children involved in Special Education programs in America, Turkey, Ghana, and Kenya for 10 years, her experience and knowledge of this culture is highly developed. This unique experience sets her apart from traditional portrait studios offering family + school photos. Meg understands the unique needs of these individuals and offers the patience, energy, and respect they deserve.
SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHY PROGRAM Majors Photography understands that for many families, traveling to a portrait studio or waiting in line at a walk-in service is not always possible or practical. We offer a solution to a problem that many families struggle with. Portraying the individual's true self is our #1 goal. Our School Photography Program is a hybrid between traditional school photography and fine art portrait setting. We strive to balance quality and affordability. We offer Studio or Outdoor session options that work best with the unique needs of your child.
ADVOCACY WORLDWIDE Meg's passion for story-telling, education, and advocating for under represented communities has brought her to Special Education learning centers in East and West Africa over 8 times. Here she spends days and weeks with the staff and students, integrating into the culture and coming home with stories and images to share and use in fundraising efforts to further develop the programs. She has been sponsored and worked in part with Perkins International since 2003. Meg has also been the official Photographer for the CHARGE Foundation for 8 years and is preparing for her 4th International CHARGE Conference in July 2011.
